How to Apply a Vinyl Decal to Your Vehicle

What you’ll need:

• Vinyl decal

• Clean, lint-free cloth or paper towel

• Mild soap and water (or rubbing alcohol)

• Plastic squeegee, credit card, or similar tool

Steps:

1. Clean the surface – Wash the area with soap and water (or wipe with rubbing alcohol). Make sure it’s completely dry and free of dirt, dust, or wax.

2. Position the decal – Without removing the backing, place the decal where you’d like it. Use masking tape as a hinge if needed to hold it in place.

3. Peel backing paper – Slowly peel away the backing, leaving the decal stuck to the clear transfer tape.

4. Apply the decal – Carefully lay the decal (with transfer tape) onto the surface. Start from one edge and smooth across to avoid air bubbles.

5. Press firmly – Use a squeegee or credit card to press down, working from the center outward.

6. Remove transfer tape – Slowly peel off the transfer tape at an angle, leaving just the decal adhered to the vehicle.

7. Final touch – Smooth over the decal again with your fingers or squeegee to ensure full adhesion.

⚠️ Tips:

• Apply in dry weather (ideally above 50°F/10°C).

• Don’t wash your vehicle for at least 24 hours after application.
